ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

A LOOK AT THE PRACTICES OF EDUCATION TEACHERS CHILDREN

Abstract

This article is part of the doctoral study carried out by the author between 2018 and 2021. It addresses the issue of pedagogical practices developed by early childhood education teachers in a municipality in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, capital of the State of Paraná. Thus, it is possible to understand the practice in Environmental Education developed in Early Childhood Education. The municipality in question is located in an Environmental Preservation Area and, specifically, the research locus neighbors the linear margin of the Atlantic forest. The qualitative approach methodology focused on analyzing practices in light of guiding documents on practices in Environmental Education. The theoretical foundations explain studies by authors who dialogue with a critical perspective on Environmental Education. The results reveal contradictions between what is explicit in the National Curricular Guidelines for Environmental Education and convergence in relation to institutional documents.
