PROFILE OF TEACHERS AT CONVENIENT DAY CARE CENTERS IN A MUNICIPALITY IN THE NORTHWEST OF SÃO PAULO.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education in Brazil, the first stage of Basic Education, has in its history the mark of assistance that, despite the progress in the quality of care for children, leaves marks on the perception of society in general, professionals and public policies about this stage education. One of the expedients used by the municipalities to meet the demand for vacancies, especially between zero and three years, is the agreement policy, which is the partnership between the public power and non-profit private entities. The present work presents the partial result obtained in a broader research, of a quantitative and qualitative nature, which sought to collect data regarding the socioeconomic, academic and professional profile of teachers of associated day care centers in a municipality in the northwest of São Paulo. The methodology included application of a questionnaire in the online format, with open and closed questions. The data presented refer to age, gender, self-declared color, family income, workload, academic training, teaching time, age group they teach, number of students per class and help in the reference room. The objective of the research is to know these professionals still made invisible by the public power and by academic research.
