Abstract

This study intends to present the relationship between esthetization and communication in reinterpretations of the minimalist approach to movie posters. The reflection arises from the observation of the traffic of remixed messages with a minimalist esthetic in online interaction platforms. In order to understand this situation, we promote a polyphonic dialogue among esthetization (Welsch), presence and meaning effects (Gumbrecht), media culture (Kellner) and media studies (Felinto), brought up by a critical reading of the Communication Aesthetics (Picado) in hyper modernity times (Lipovetsky). The methodological procedure of unsystematic features allows us to discover works in communities and social networking sites, in search of arguments attesting to the insertion of these objects in the aesthetic-communicative sphere.
