O diálogo entre telejornalismo e audiência: uma realidade ou um devir?
Abstract
Is there a dialogue between TV journalism and the audience? This article takes on this question, investigating whether the increasing interactivity between the audience and television news truly means a dialogue between them. The theoretical basis of this study is composed of precepts regarding dialogical argumentation, a category coined by the russian philosopher and thinker Mikhail Bakhtin (1895-1975), as well as those regarding television and telejournalism. The empirical research was carried out with two focus groups for a total of eleven professionals employed by six different TV stations. It was possible to notice that, in spite of a clearly increasing interactivity with the public and notwithstanding its participation in the production of the narratives brought forth by the newscasts, an actual dialogue between the parties has not yet been achieved, hence revealing a dialogical becoming within telejournalism.
