uma leitura anticolonial do capítulo Tribos de Irian Jaya, Indionesia

Abstract

In this work we propose to carry out an anti-colonial reading of the chapter Tribes of Irian Jaya, Indionesia of the book Gênesis by Sebastião Salgado. Based on the material of the work, that is, the verb-visual narrative of the chapter and the presentation texts of the book, and in the company of authors of anti-colonial criticism, such as Denise Ferreira da Silva and Ariella Aïsha Azoulay, we intend to reflect on how the individuals with whom the photographer was in contact for the realization of this chapter are figured in the work's discourse.
