Digital literacy and care for the environment: a current need

Abstract

Digital literacy was necessary to be able to conduct the training of university students in virtual or hybrid mode during the pandemic, this current generation participating in a global community has most tools for the use of information and communication technologies, however, it is not observed in health careers management from the perspective of human care and the environment. This study aims to reflect on the digital literacy of the science of human care and the environment, from the perspective of Jean Watson's unitary care theory and Vilmar Alves Pereira's Ecocosmocene theory. A transformative and unitary approach to care is used, the resulting analyzes indicate that this reading allows discussion of the need for literacy in these issues and opens new perspectives of care beyond the traditional models of the nursing discipline.
